What started with a desire to return to simpler, more nature-driven life became a dream I wanted to share.
There is something innate and intrinsic about farm-to-table: knowing where your ingredients come from, understanding exactly what it is you are putting into what you make, and additionally, the satisfaction of creating something with your own hands.
Demeter’s Homestead was born from that notion, and from the belief that nature provides everything we need – it just takes time, dedication, and care to put it in a jar.
For most of my life, I used synthetic lotions, moisturizers, and face washes, compounded by chemical based toners and creams to combat skin ailments such as acne, dryness, excessive oil, aging, dark spots, sun damage, fine lines, large pores…the list is endless. I tried it all, never finding a consistent means for the one result I desired most: HEALTHY, NOURISHED SKIN.
And then, I found tallow.
Over a year-long period, I concocted many variations of recipes for the perfect balance, with tallow at the center of every one. After handing out a handful to friends and family, I found an immediate demand for my tallow products, which I am delighted to offer to you directly from my homestead to your skin.
This is just the beginning. In time, I plan to expand Demeter’s Homestead into more products, utilizing the healing magic of nature, but for now, we are sticking with the simple, replenishing, and wonderfully versatile elements of tallow.
